FROM THE CORNER

VERSE 1

The corner is a familiar place,

Where I once was made to face.

Now it is a place of control,

Where I can watch the greater fool.

VERSE 2

Used as punishment in school.

What I learned was “break the rules.”

There always is a price to pay.

Having something to say.

VERSE 3

Turning corners changing views.

Brings energy; dreams renew.

Looking back as I grow old,

I only wish I’d been more bold.

CHORUS

From the corner of the room,

From the worries in your mind,

A world you’ll leave behind.
